All of our precious cargo is tucked into our new patient tower

Thanks to over 800 generous donors to the Reaching New Heights campaign, Dayton Children’s was able to create a world-class healing environment that is just right for our tinest to our tallest patients.

On July 16, 2017, the very first patients were moved into our new patient tower. Floors four, five and six, otherwise known as the Newborn Intensive Care Unit, Wallace Critical Care Center and Mills Family Cancer & Blood Disorder Center welcomed 45 patients. NICU babies were marked as “precious cargo” and older patients received special pillow case to commemorate them being the first patient in that room! Everyone was super excited to move into their new spaces!

Floors seven and eight, our Specialty Care Units, will move later this fall in October! Check out the video and awesome photos below from move in day!
